Research on the benefits of play is clear. Play supports healthy physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. In addition, play supports skills like collaboration, communication, and creativity. Whether it's unstructured, team, or make-believe, play is an integral part of a child's healthy development. So, LET'S PLAY!!! Here are some ideas to help get you started! :)

- Pretend that the floor is hot lava. Move around the room without touching the floor.
- Play “What’s Missing?” Put several items on a tray and have your child name each item. Cover tray and then remove one item. Can they see what’s missing?
- Play games like Simon Says. Try and incorporate 2-step directions. (i.e. “Simon Says tap your head then sit down”)
