SEASIDE SATURDAYS - WINTER 2021
SEASIDE SATURDAYS:
Do you need a staycation?  Every Saturday, we'll share a virtual field trip and activity for you to enjoy!

PLUS... on the third Saturday of every month we'll collaborate with the Manchester Historical Museum
and the MBTS Public Library to bring you a
BONUS pre-recorded lesson OR live, interactive lesson!
A new SEASIDE SATURDAYS lesson will be added here every SATURDAY!

WELCOME TO SEASIDE SATURDAY!
Let's Go On A Virtual Field Trip To The National Museum Of African American History and Culture!
After That, We'll Participate In Two Activities, One You Can Download And One At The Wenham Museum!

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only
national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture.
We invite you to explore their collections by clicking on the picture below.

"Doves for Peace: Community Art Installation" At The Wenham Museum
Local artist Julianna McWilliams has made a tree for the museum’s lobby on which we will place doves made by members of our community. Simply use the instructions below to make origami or cut-out doves (or use your own design) at home and drop them off at the museum – all it takes is a piece of paper and a little time!
You can add color or a message of peace, hope, gratitude, or kindness to your dove – and make as many as you would like! You may bring your dove to the museum at any time or place it in the museum mailbox.
Origami Dove:  PDF Instructions | Video Instructions
Cut-Out Dove: Download a printable PDF dove that you can cut out and color
Please Note: While there is no cost to participate in this activity, The Wenham Museum requires advanced ticket registration and admission to visit the museum galleries.
